WHO HAS TO HAVE A BTP CARD<\/strong><\/p>\n


\n<\/strong><\/strong>These are workers who carry out construction, assembly, installation or public works directly or in an organised manner (foremen), even if they do so occasionally, occasionally or auxiliary. People who are never on the building site are exempt from the obligation to have a card. They may also be exempt – even if they are regularly on the building site:
\n– employees in the commercial department and in the company’s support department (payroll management, risk management, maintenance, security staff, procurement department, inventory department, etc.), even if they are permanently present on the construction site, provided that they do not occasionally, occasionally or auxiliary perform construction work or public works,
\n– workers who do not physically work and do not directly supervise work on the construction site,
\n– apprentices; their supervisor should be able to produce a document certifying their status in the event of an inspection,
\n– employees who clean and tidy the construction site if they perform their activities after the end of the construction project,
\n– architects, surveyors, safety officers and delivery van drivers.<\/p>\n

PROOF OF PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY
\n<\/strong>
\nA professional identity card (une carte professionnelle pour lutter contre le travail ill\u00e9gal, Carte BTP) will be a control tool aimed primarily at counteracting illegal employment in construction and assembly work, which mainly concerns posted workers. This is important for our national economy as the majority of construction workers in the French Republic are Poles. The cards will be issued by the Caisse du r\u00e9seau Cong\u00e9s Intemp\u00e9ries (BTP).<\/p>\n

The introduction of this instrument is a response to a long-standing demand from the Construction Federation, which is fighting illegal work and wants to limit competition from Romanian, Polish and Portuguese workers, who are on average 25-30% cheaper, even when working legally. Workers are supposed to have it from the moment they start work. This means new formalities and can cause delays, as this document is to be issued to people who are not yet in France. ……………….. “Violation of the obligation to have the BTP card , the employer faces a fine of 2000 euros and in case of recidivism – 4000 euros.
\nFrance is an example of a country introducing more and more restrictions for employers who post workers there.
